TIME
Your piloting and learning abilities, your schedule and
weather conditions will determine the duration of your training.
Adjustments according to what you feel comfortable with can
be made at any time during the program.
COST
The total cost of your flight training will largely depend on
your abilities. For example, the FAA requires a minimum of 40
hours in order to obtain a Private Pilot Certificate. These
hours consist of 20 hours of dual instruction time, 10 hours
of solo flight time with the remaining hours allowing for dual
instruction or Solo flight time. The hourly rate for an instructor
is $40-$50. Add aircraft rental (Cessna 172 - $108.00hr)
, exam fees, medical, instruction
materials (books, videos) and you end up with a most reasonable
total. There are no initiation fees, no membership charges and
no long term obligations. YOU PAY AS YOU FLY.
LOCATION
Peachtree-Dekalb Airport is equipped with state-of-the-art control
tower and four hard surface runways. The Atlanta Metropolitan
area provides a whole array of attractions and recreational.
Both the Atlantic coast and the Gulf are only two flying hours
away and the weather in Georgia virtually permits year round
flying.
INSTRUCTORS
AND RATINGS
Our flight instructors are FAA certified and highly experienced
both in the air and on the ground. They can guide you to obtain
your basic VFR as well as advanced ratings.
GROUND
INSTRUCTION Part of your training is comprised of
ground instruction. You can use modern audio-visual aids as
well as one-on-one sessions with your instructor. Either way
it will be much more a hands-on experience than lengthy class
room style sessions. The speed is individually tailored to your
needs.
AIRCRAFT
RENTAL After you receive your license, rent an airplane
for a day or a weekend getaway. Rates start at $108.00 per flying
hour (Cessna 172). Our fleet includes a aircraftCessna all equiped with modern radios, intercoms and instruments.
PAYMENT
